At 4:11 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released an updated heat advisory valid between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Canon City Vicinity/Eastern Fremont County, Northern El Paso County/Monument Ridge/Rampart Range below 7,500 ft and Colorado Springs Vicinity/Southern El Paso County/Rampart Range below 7,400 ft.
The NWS informs, “Maximum temperatures ranging between 95 to 100 degrees are anticipated.”
