The Rochester Jr. Americans hold the upper hand against the Johnstown Tomahawks, after winning 5-2 in game one on Friday, April 17, 2025.
The team took the lead in the middle of the first period, with a goal from Clay O’donnell. Hugo Branthsson and Jacob Reese assisted.
The Tomahawks’ Jacob Ingstrup tied it up 1-1 halfway through the first, assisted by Nick White.
Calle Karlsson scored early in the second period, assisted by Adam Gionta and Jaden Dyke.
The Jr. Americans made it 3-1 with a goal from Gabe Randel.
Adam Csabi narrowed the gap to 3-2 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Ryan Flaherty.
Clay O’donnell made it 4-2 with a goal five minutes later, assisted by Landon Brownlee and Dexter Kichline.
Landon Brownlee also increased the lead to 5-2 with a goal three minutes later, assisted by Clay O’donnell and Gabe Randel.
The teams will face off three more times, with the next two taking place on April 4th and April 5th.
