Update: The current flood advisory for Douglas and Elbert counties will expire at 7:30 p.m.

The advisory had been issued for Douglas and Elbert counties.

“The Flood Advisory will expire at 7:30 p.m. this evening for portions of east central and northeast Colorado, including the following areas, in east central Colorado, Elbert. In northeast Colorado, Douglas. Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining closures,” according to the National Weather Service.
