Fire weather watch issued for Little Snake and White River for Thursday – enhanced fire threat

A fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 3:35 a.m. valid for Thursday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Little Snake and White River.

Residents can expect winds to be southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and relative humidity 6 to 11 percent.

“Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended,” says the NWS.

A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
