On Tuesday at 10:16 p.m. an updated fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Thursday between noon and 6 p.m. for Little Snake and White River.

Residents can expect winds to be southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and relative humidity 12 to 17%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” states the NWS.

A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
