Update: Fire weather watch in place for Little Snake and White River for Monday – high fire danger

An updated fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 6:02 a.m. valid for Monday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Little Snake and White River.

Residents can expect winds to be southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and relative humidity 5 to 10 percent.

“Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended,” describes the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
