The National Weather Service issued an updated fire weather watch at 8:57 p.m. on Thursday valid for Saturday between noon and 10 p.m. for Colorado.

Residents can expect winds to be west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and relative humidity 6 to 11%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” adds the NWS.

• Northern San Juan

• Routt County
