On Thursday at 10:19 p.m. an updated fire weather watch was released by the National Weather Service valid for Saturday between noon and 8 p.m. for Paradox Valley and North Fork.

Expect winds to be southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and relative humidity 11 to 16%.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” states the NWS.

A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
