A fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:06 p.m. valid for Thursday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for North Douglas County below 6,000 feet/Denver/West Adams and Arapahoe counties/East Broomfield County and Central and South Weld County.
Winds are forecasted to be west 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and relative humidity as low as 13%.
“Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire,” explains the NWS.
