Published Jun 22, 2025

At 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service released a fire weather watch valid for Monday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Lower Colorado River.

Expect winds to be southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and relative humidity 8 to 13 percent.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” explains the NWS.

A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
