On Wednesday at 11:16 p.m. the National Weather Service reported an updated fire warning in effect until Thursday at 3:30 a.m. for Yuma County.

“The following message is transmitted at the request of the Yuma County Emergency Management. Fire Weather Alert evacuation notice. If a wildfire is approaching your area, please evacuate immediately to the designated shelter below: Joes and Kirk area, evacuate to the Grassroots Center. Wray and Eckley area evacuate to Wray City Hall. Yuma area, evacuate to Yuma High School. Follow instructions from local authorities and do not delay evacuation if advised. Please drive slowly with your flasher on,” explains the NWS.
