Middlesbrough claimed the win in the game against Plymouth in the Championship on Friday. The team won 2-1 at Riverside.
The Boro took an early lead when Finn Azaz netted after 12 minutes, making it 1-0.
Plymouth equalised to make it 1-1, as Mustapha Bundu found the net, in the 17th minute.
The deciding goal came in extra time, when Tommy Conway scored for the Boro.
Plymouth’s Joe Edwards was sent off in the 90th minute.
With three games remaining, Middlesbrough are in seventh place in the table while Plymouth are in 24th.
The previous meeting between the teams ended in a 3-3 draw, with Plymouth at home in December.
Middlesbrough play Sheffield Wednesday on 20 April, Norwich City on 25 April and Coventry (away) on 2 May. Plymouth’s next opponents are Coventry on 20 April, Preston North End on 25 April and Leeds (home) on 2 May.
