On Saturday at 11:03 a.m. an updated extreme cold warning was issued by the NWS Fort Worth TX valid from 6 p.m. until Tuesday 9 a.m. The warning is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Montague, Cooke, Grayson, Fannin, Lamar, Young, Jack, Hunt, Delta, Hopkins, Stephens, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Kaufman, Rains, Eastland, Erath, Somervell, Ellis, Comanche, Mills, Hamilton, Bosque and Hill counties.

According to the NWS, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 11 degrees below zero are expected. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 11 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. If you must go outside, dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves.

This warning is in effect until Tuesday at 9 a.m.
