At 5:17 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until 9 a.m. for North and Northeast Elbert County below 6,000 feet/North Lincoln County and Washington County.

The NWS states to anticipate, “Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.”

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” says the NWS. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
