El Paso Rhinos beat New Mexico Ice Wolves in overtime

The El Paso Rhinos managed to squeeze out an overtime win against the New Mexico Ice Wolves, ending 5-4 in the action on Saturday, April 11, 2025.

El Paso’s Harper Lolacher scored the game-winning goal.

The Rhinos took the lead in the middle of the first period, with a goal from Roope Tuomioksa. Paavo Hiltunen and Kyle Arias assisted.

The Ice Wolves’ Sean Gibbons tied it up 1-1 late in the first, assisted by Andrey Moskvitin.

The Rhinos took the lead with a goal from Cade Dewolf late in the first, assisted by Brendan Coughlin and Benjamin Winkelmann.

The Rhinos scored one goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.

The Rhinos increased the lead to 4-2 early in the third period when Jacob Solano netted one, assisted by Andrew Delladonna and Beckett Hinchsliff.

Francois DE Villiers narrowed the gap to 4-3 with a goal four minutes later, assisted by Francois DE Villiers.

Max Matthews also tied the game 4-4 with a goal three minutes later. The game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 1:58 before Harper Lolacher scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Lawson Kimble.
