Update: Oct. 31 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake reported close to Santiago, Philippines

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Santiago Friday morning.

The tremor hit at 21:27 UTC (05:27 local time), with its epicenter situated about 63 km east-southeast of Santiago and a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.0 event, but later upgraded it to 5.1.
