Update: Seismic activity on March 15 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake close to Intipucá, El Salvador registered

LA UNIÓN SUR, La Unión Department — A 5.3 magnitude quake struck near Intipucá on Sunday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 05:00 UTC (23:00 local time). The epicenter was roughly 60 km south-southwest of Intipucá, at a depth of 60 km.
