Update: Seismic activity on Dec. 2 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake close to Severo-Kuril’sk, Russia reported

A 5.3 magnitude quake was recorded near Severo-Kuril’sk Tuesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted at 11:10 UTC (21:10 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 94 km southeast of Severo-Kuril’sk and a depth of 35 km.
