Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Severo-Kuril’sk, Russia on July 30

Wednesday afternoon, a 5.1 magnitude quake was reported near Severo-Kuril’sk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted at 03:57 UTC (14:57 local time), with its epicenter situated approximately 150 km east-southeast of Severo-Kuril’sk and a depth of 10 km.
