Update: 5.0 magnitude earthquake jolts close to Kuril’sk, Russia on April 18

A 5.0 magnitude quake rattled near Kuril’sk on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 00:28 UTC (10:28 local time), with its epicenter roughly 241 km east of Kuril’sk and a depth of 38 km.
