ARAUCO PROVINCE, Bio Bio — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake hit near Lebu Wednesday morning.

The tremor, which rattled the area at 06:39 UTC (01:39 local time), was centered roughly 150 km west-southwest of Lebu. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
