Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 hits area close to Palu, Indonesia on June 16

PARIGI MOUTONG REGENCY, Central Sulawesi — A 5.2 magnitude quake shook near Palu around midday Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the region at 03:30 UTC (11:30 local time), was centered about 45 km east-southeast of Palu. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
