Update: Earthquake jolts region near Vallenar, Chile on June 11 – 5.2 magnitude recorded

A 5.2 magnitude quake occurred near Vallenar on Thursday around midnight, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which shook the area at 05:19 UTC (00:19 local time), was centered about 118 km northwest of Vallenar. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
