Dubuque Fighting Saints score twice in the third to beat Madison Capitols

The Dubuque Fighting Saints defeated the Madison Capitols 4-2.

The game was tied after two periods, but Dubuque pulled away in the third to claim a victory on Monday, April 20, 2025.

The team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Gavin Uhlenkamp. Aiden Long and Sam Kappell assisted.

The Fighting Saints tied the score 1-1 early in the second period when Colin Frank scored.

Capitols’ Ryker Lee tallied a goal four minutes into the period, making the score 2-1. John Stout and Mason Moe assisted.

In the second period, Jonathan Morello scored a goal, assisted by Heikki Ruohonen and Matthew Desiderio, making the score 2-2.

Cooper Dennis took the lead with a goal in the third period, assisted by Lucas Van Vliet and Cole Spicer.

The Fighting Saints increased the lead to 4-2 with 26 seconds remaining of the third period after a goal from Heikki Ruohonen, assisted by Cole Spicer and Matthew Desiderio.
