A tremor shook the region at 23:41 UTC (00:41 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 70 km west-southwest of Lithakiá and occurred at a depth of 16 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.3 but later upgraded to 5.4.
