County Durham’s real estate scene in September witnessed interesting transactions, notably homes that sold below their initial listing prices.

Among the 394 residential properties changing hands, a select few stood out for their significant price differences, offering buyers advantageous deals in the market. Here’s an exclusive look at the top 10 homes that fetched prices notably lower than their initial asking rates.

The homes in the list below concern different types of property: terraced houses, semi-detached houses, detached houses and flats, where the deeds were filed with the Land Registry during the month of September, even if the properties may have been sold earlier.

1 Rosedale Road

10. £18,950 (9%) below asking – semi-detached house on Rosedale Road

A semi-detached house at Rosedale Road in the DH1 postcode area changed hands. Initially listed for £208,950, it settled at £190,000, marking a 9% price reduction to reach its eventual selling price. It remained on the market for a duration of nine months and 29 days. Covering 1,022 sqft, the property’s price per sqft ended up at £186. The property consists of four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the property has an energy efficiency rating of D. The sale was settled on 18 July.
