At 9:58 p.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory in effect until Sunday at 5 a.m. for Western Mosquito Range/East Lake County above 11,000 ft, Eastern Sawatch Mountains above 11,000 ft and La Garita Mountains above 10,000 ft.

The NWS says to prepare for, “Additional snow accumulations one to two inches.”

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” says the NWS. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”

Keep an eye out for snow plows and provide them with ample room to pass. Only overtake a plow when you have a clear view of the road ahead.
