Josh Brownhill scored in the 28th minute to give Burnley the lead in a previously goalless match.
The the Blades equalised to make it 1-1, as Tom Cannon netted, in the 37th minute.
Burnley took the lead just before the half-time whistle as Josh Brownhill scored yet again. This time he scored a penalty. The teams were unable to score in the second half and the game ended with a 2-1 win for Burnley.
It was Burnley’s 31st game in a row without defeat.
With two games remaining, Burnley are in second place in the table while Sheffield United are in third.
The previous match between the teams ended in a 2-0 away win for Burnley in December.
