Sheffield United secured a solid 2-0 victory at home against Cardiff in the Championship, with goals from Ben Brereton and Gustavo Hamer guiding the Sheffield Utd to success.

The match was goalless until the the Blades took the lead in the 33rd minute through Gustavo Hamer.

The 2-0 goal came right at the end of the game, when Ben Brereton netted for the the Blades.

The result means the fifth game in a row without a win for Cardiff.

With three games remaining, Sheffield United are in third place in the table while Cardiff are in 23rd.

The previous outing between the teams ended in a 1-0 away win for Cardiff in January.
