Update: Severe thunderstorm warning for Southeast Colorado predicted to expire at 1:45 a.m.

The warning was issued for Bent, Las Animas and Otero counties.

“The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small hail and gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 3 a.m. for southeastern Colorado. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect until 5 a.m. for southeastern Colorado,” according to the National Weather Service.
