Update: Earthquake hits region close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia on Aug. 3 – 5.1 magnitude reported

Sunday morning, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Vilyuchinsk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at 18:18 UTC (05:18 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 160 km southeast of Vilyuchinsk and a depth of 23 km.
