Friday afternoon, a 5.3 magnitude quake was recorded near Vilyuchinsk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 03:39 UTC (14:39 local time), the region was struck by a tremor. The earthquake hit at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter approximately 173 km southeast of Vilyuchinsk.
