Fire weather watch issued for North Fork for Monday – gusts up to 35 mph

On Sunday at 2:15 a.m. the National Weather Service released a fire weather watch valid for Monday between noon and 8 p.m. for North Fork.

Winds are forecasted to be west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and relative humidity 10 to 15 percent.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” explains the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
