Western Michigan was the champion – won against Boston University

Western Michigan has every reason to celebrate today.

The 6-2 win on Saturday, April 11, 2025, over Boston University means WMU will be crowned 2025 champion.

The Broncos opened strong, early in the game with Wyatt Schingoethe scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Iiro Hakkarainen and Tim Washe.

The Terriers tied it up 1-1 in the first period when Cole Eiserman scored, assisted by Devin Kaplan and Kamil Bednarik.

The Broncos’ Cole Crusberg-Roseen took the lead late in the first period.

The Broncos scored one goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.

Owen Michaels increased the lead to 4-2 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Joona Väisänen.

Iiro Hakkarainen also made it 5-2 with a goal nine minutes later, assisted by Wyatt Schingoethe and Tim Washe.

Owen Michaels then made it 6-2 with a goal one minute later.
