The Lincoln Stars assured themselves a first-place finish in the USHL with a 4-2 win at Ice Box against the Tri-City Storm on Friday, April 10, 2025.
The first period was scoreless, and early in the second period, the Storm took the lead when Cooper Simpson scored.
The Stars made it 1-1 with a goal from Dashel Oliver.
The Stars made it 2-1 five minutes into the period when Darian Anderson scored the first goal, assisted by Alex Pelletier and Ethan Weber.
Halfway through, Lincoln Hjelm scored a goal, assisted by Colton Whitfield and Paul Bloomer, making the score 2-2.
The Stars took the lead, only 26 seconds into the third when Daniel Shlaine found the back of the net, assisted by Bruno Idzan.
Jack Pechar made it 4-2 with a goal eight minutes later, assisted by Daniel Shlaine and Caeden Herrington.
The Stars were whistled for four penalties, while the Storm received eight penalties.
The Stars have now won four games in a row.
