The Championship game between Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday finished 2-2 on Tuesday – no doubt a relief for Blackburn after five successive defeats.

The Wednesday scored the first goal when Yan Valery netted after 16 minutes, making it 1-0.

In the 38th minute Djeidi Gassama increased the lead for Sheffield Wednesday.

Straight after the break, Tyrhys Dolan made his mark and reduced the score for Blackburn.

With five minutes left to play, Blackburn’s Yuki Ohashi equalised.

However the result means the eighth game in a row without a win for Blackburn.

Blackburn remains in 12th place and Sheffield Wednesday is in 13th.

The previous meeting between the teams ended in a 1-0 away win for Blackburn in December.
