Madison Capitols’ winning streak broken by Muskegon Lumberjacks

The Madison Capitols have enjoyed a great period of success and ahead of the game against the Muskegon Lumberjacks, Madison was on a run of seven straight wins.

But, Sunday’s game on March 29, 2025, at Trinity Health Arena finished 3-2 and the winning streak was ended.

Muskegon’s Jack Christ scored the game-winning goal.

The Capitols started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Gavin Uhlenkamp scoring in the first period, assisted by Landon Macdonald and Nolen Geerdes.

The Lumberjacks tied the game 1-1 in the first period when Chase Stefanek struck, assisted by Matthew Van Blaricom and Finn Mclaughlin.

The Capitols took the lead late in the first period when Nolen Geerdes scored, assisted by Landon Macdonald and Max Rider.

The Lumberjacks tied the score 2-2, only nine seconds into the third when David Deputy beat the goalie, assisted by David Klee and Tynan Lawrence.

Jack Christ took the lead with a goal late in the third period, assisted by Barrett Dexheimer.

Both teams play on Friday, April 04, 2025, with the Lumberjacks meeting the Team USA at 6:10 p.m. CST at Trinity Health Arena, and the Capitols playing the Stars at 7:05 p.m. CST at Bob Suter’s LEGACY20 Arena Middleton.
