The Elmira Aviators have gone through a tough spell with a run of four straight defeats.
But after a 4-3 victory on Thursday, March 26, 2025 over the Maine Nordiques in a game that went to overtime, things are looking brighter.
Elmira’s Ben Norris scored the game-winning goal.
The Nordiques opened strong, at the beginning of the game with Zion Green scoring in the first minute, goal assisted by Kellen Murphy and Luke Chappelle.
The Nordiques made it 2-0 with another goal from Zion Green in the first period, assisted by Laurent Trepanier and Kellen Murphy.
The Aviators scored three goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.
Ethan Wongus tied it up 3-3 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Michael Stenberg and Ocean Fancy. The game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 4:11 before Ben Norris scored the game-winner for the team.
