New Mexico Ice Wolves keep on winning and now have seven straight wins

The New Mexico Ice Wolves’ strong shape continues, and on Thursday, March 26, 2025, at Outpost Ice Arenas they beat the Colorado Grit 5-2.

The result means they now have seven successive wins.

The team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Max Matthews. Francois DE Villiers and Toivo Laaksonen assisted.

The Ice Wolves’ Johnny Johannson increased the lead to 2-0 late in the first, assisted by Ben Polomsky and Francois DE Villiers.

The Grit narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a minute left in the first when Cole Peters scored, assisted by Noah Grolnic and Nicholas Noble.

Three goals were scored in the second period, and the Ice Wolves led 4-2 going in to the third period.

Ethan Hull made it 5-2 with a goal late in the third period, assisted by Sean Gibbons and Jake Kasay.
