SARANGANI, SOCCSKSARGEN — A 5.2 magnitude quake struck close to Balangonan on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 01:11 UTC (09:11 local time). It occurred at a depth of 46 km with the epicenter approximately 6 km northwest of Balangonan.
