A 5.0 magnitude quake hit near Ende on Monday around midday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which jolted the region at 04:53 UTC (12:53 local time), was centered roughly 45 km north-northwest of Ende. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
