Earthquake of magnitude 5.0 registered close to Palimbang, Philippines on Oct. 1

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Palimbang on Thursday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which rattled the area at 05:34 UTC (13:34 local time), was centered approximately 38 km west-southwest of Palimbang. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
