At 4 a.m. Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center released its first advisory of the day for the system, stating that Tropical Storm Hanna is in the Atlantic Ocean, 1,085 miles east-northeast of Bermuda and 1,080 miles west of the Azores. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, is moving to the east-southeast at 15 mph.

“Small intensity fluctuations are forecast during the next couple of days,” according to analysts. They also said “Hanna is likely to become a post-tropical cyclone by the latter part of this week.”
