According to the National Hurricane Center’s 4 p.m. Monday advisory, Tropical Depression Fay is in the Atlantic Ocean, 1,325 miles west-southwest of the Azores. With maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, it is moving to the southwest at 9 mph.

“Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, and Fay is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone in 36 h. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1011 mb (29.86 inches),” analysts observed.
