System name: Fay

At 4 p.m. Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center issued the last advisory for the post-tropical cyclone system. Post Tropical Cyclone Fay is in the Atlantic Ocean, 685 miles southwest of the Azores. Packing maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, the system is tracking to the west-southwest at 9 mph.

“A gradual turn toward the west is expected during the next few days,” analysts noted. They also said “The remnant low is expected to gradually weaken during the next few days.”
