System name: Fay

The National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Tuesday advisory reported that Fay weakened and had devolved from a tropical storm into a tropical depression with sustained winds of 35 mph. Tropical Depression Fay is in the Atlantic Ocean, 645 miles southwest of the Azores. Packing maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, the system is tracking to the southwest at 10 mph.

Fay is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone.
