Seismic activity on Sept. 20: Earthquake close to Reykjanes Ridge reported – magnitude 5.3

A 5.3 magnitude quake jolted close to Reykjanes Ridge on Sunday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 00:58 UTC (22:58 local time), was centered of Reykjanes Ridge. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
