A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Dunhuang around midday Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 05:52 UTC (13:52 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was roughly 281 km south-southeast of Dunhuang and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
