A 5.4 magnitude quake occurred near Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Monday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck the area at 02:56 UTC (23:56 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter north of Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later upgraded it to 5.4.
