Update: The current severe thunderstorm warning for Custer and Fremont counties will be expiring at 4:30 p.m.

The warning was active for Custer and Fremont counties.

“The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 11 p.m. for central and southeastern Colorado,” states the National Weather Service.
